Had this same problem and nothing worked after trying everything I could think of. Speedometer would never display a blinking 0 (just stagnant). Turned out the computer mount on the handle bar was turned around backwards. The sigma letters go towards the front of the bike. Placed the device in the mount, the 0 started blinking and sync'd up with sensor. Finally works!

Hello, if the holder is not broken and fixing the device really in right position try to clear the contacts with alcohol or with smooth abrasive material (tooth paste). Hope it helps. Roman

If the computer is new return it. If not and you have tried a fresh battery on the sending unit and mounting the sending unit as high as possible on the fork, there's really nothing else to try. Looks like that is a wired wheel sensor. Make sure the magnet lines up correctly with the wired sensor and is close enough to it. Also check for broken wires. If both those are OK and still no speed reading then the sensor is probably borked.

the battery in wireless transmitter may need replacing.

You would prefer maybe Egyptian hieroglyphics, or Phoenician cuneiform ?

It's in the manual. Measure the wheel size and enter it manually.

There's a picture of how to determine the circumference by rolling the wheel one revolution and measuring it. Be as accurate as you can (to the mm).

4. Wheel size BIKE 1

• Press MODE to change to BIKE 1.

• Press SET briefly and the first digit flashes.

• Set the value by pressing RESET, change to the next digit by pressing MODE.
• Bike 1 is always the bike with the handlebar holder WS 1
