It sounds like it may be out of adjustment. Before taking it back, I’d try readjusting before taking it back. You have to learn your equipment before giving up. Very finicky.

Try several applications with paper towels and a WARM iron. The heat will cause the wax to soak into the paper towel.

Could be failure of the electric clock mechanism

1. Gently push the pin on the top of the housing, unscrew the black arm, open Clamp B and carefully pull out the blade housing from the bottom.
2. Remove the protective cover from the new blade.
3. Insert the new blade into the housing and the magnet in the housing will hold the new blade in place.
4. Replace and return the blade housing into your machine, Clamp B and the black arm. Tighten the screw close it back into the machine.

remove the nozzle. get it hot then poke it out with something metal that fits... unplug it after you get it hot enough of course:)

you have something jammed in the feed mechanism. most likely a piece of paper. Unplug it, remove all paper, and then shake it out over a trash can with the opening facing the trash. If that does not help, you should contact an electronics repair shop.

Sometimes the rubber nozzle removes easily and once removed the metal nozzle behind the rubber can be unscrewed with a wrench or pliers. With the nozzle removed and the glue gun is hot it should be possible to push the eraser and the metal ferrule back through the heated tube of the glue gun. If the nozzle can't be removed it poses some difficulty as a rod or stiff wire will be needed that will go through the hole in the nozzle to push back the eraser. It will probably be a fiddly job and it might not be possible to push the eraser right out but if it can be moved back a little it could be possible to hook it out with the same wire after bending it so there is a small hook on the end. You made an honest mistake and your parents shouldn't be angry. If you find you can't remove the eraser; if you have a car repair shop nearby, I am sure you will find help there. Once hot a quick blast of compressed air through the nozzle should clear everything from the heated tube. Good luck!
