I just moved in to an apartm with an apollo shower steam box.. but i can only shower and i have no idea how all the otheer things are working

It has a leak somewhere that is shorting the power to ground. It appears to be a known issue.

remove the shower head at the wall and clean out the filter there
remove any items blocking the outlet

So many things could be wrong. 1 check circuit breaker. 2. Check there is water going to steam unit. Power to control in shower? Steam unit could be burned out. Or control is not working or thermostat not working.

There are three things that affect this:
1. Incoming water temp.
2. Incoming water volume.
3.Temp of the device.
There are some other minute things like humitidty and altitude too.
