This setting helps to conserve battery power by restricting several functions: The back LCD monitor cannot be turned on while in a shooting mode, it will turn on while in the Play mode. Full-Time AF (auto focus) cannot be used and the viewfinder will turn off after the 30 sec. without use.

I have an intova IC12 digital camera. It will snap a picture and show on the display but not save to card?

Hello,
Please save any images to your desktop that you want to keep. Access format function in camera's setup menu and format both SD card and internal camera memory to clear all data. After formatting, perform a sys reset that is also found in the setup menu. If your camera still cannot save images to the SD card after performing format and sys reset, then the card reader/writer is probably broken. Please contact us directly at 808-837-0074 if you have a sales receipt showing date of purchase 1 year or less which would qualify for warranty exchange under our 1 year warranty coverage.
Thank you

THE CAMERA GOES DEAD VERY SOON WHEN IT TURNS ON. IT HAS GOOD BATTERIES.

Hi, I've scoured the 3 page manual and come up with this.:-
There is nothing wrong with your camera. The camera has a built-in power saving
feature that turns the camera off after 30 seconds of inactivity (default setting) to
conserve battery power. The auto off time setting can be changed in the set up menu.
Changing the Auto Off Time Setting:
1. Set the camera to Camera Mode.
2. Press the Menu button to display the main menu.
3. Press until the Setup is highlighted.
4. Press to enter the Setup submenu.
5. In the Setup menu, press to highlight “Auto Off Time”.
6. Press to enter “Auto Off Time”. Press to highlight the time you want.
7. Press the OK button to save your selection.
Hope this helps

Canon sd550

If you can, save the pictures on the card to your computer. Use the camera to FORMAT the card. Now you should be able to shoot again. This happens when the camera is saving a pictures and runs out of battery power. It has happened to me several times.

Batteries problem....

Try rechargable NiMH batteries. They are specifically designed for today's technology, and last much, much longer than traditional batteries. It doesn't matter about the brand -- Energizer, Rayovac, Duracell, generic -- I've found that they all tend to last about the same amount of time in my digital camera. But I only use rechargable ones anymore.

SLIDESHOW function

You can play the images in your camera on a TV or save them to videotape by connecting the camera with the bundled Audio/Video cable. Power up the camera in the PLAYBACK Mode, press the OK/MENU button to open the menu and using the arrow keys toggle up to begin the SLIDESHOW. You can even change the playback format in the MODE MENU. Press the OK/MENU button and using the right arrow key select the MODE MENU. Toggle down to SETUP, toggle right to enter the SETUP MENU and toggle up once to PLAYBACK SETUP. When you toggle right you will be offered four playback options: NORMAL, SLIDE, FADER and ZOOM. When selected you will get the following effects: NORMAL - Each image instantaneously replaces the previous image. SLIDE - The images are sequenced by sliding from right to left. FADER - The images are sequenced via a lap dissolve. ZOOM - The images are sequenced by zooming in to black and zooming out from black.
