If the ignitor glows and the gas isn't releasing, change the coils in the gas valve, they look like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B001DEEU8K/ref=dp_image_text_z_0?ie=UTF8&n=284507&s=kitchen

My gas dryer Kenmore 500 series won't start when I push the start button. The light is on in the dryer chamber. The door latches and there is gas running in it.

the one side of the door switch is bad,one side controls the light when the door is open, the other side of this switch makes the unit run when the door is closed, replace the switch,or if you dont care about the door light, reverse the 2 larger connections and it will work again, but no light with door open then

My Kenmore 80 Series dryer is no longer heating up? What part needs to be replaced??

Gas or Electric? If Gas it could be the gas valve isn't opening, this keeps the burner from lighting. If electric your heating element is most likely burned out.

Hello, My Kenmore 70 serie (model 110.72712101), will not heat up. Cleaned filter and exhaust vent. Any suggestions will be of great help. Thanks!

The ignitor is probably bad not aloowing the gas valve to come on and ignite the gas to heat the dryer. The ignitor is a flat bimetallic element that heats up when the dryer is turned on to light the burner to heat the dryer. It is usually located in the lower left section of the dryer near the burner assembly. It has two wires usually white going to it with a plug in connector on the end.

Have a Kenmore Gas Dryer 80 series, model # 110.78842990 that runs but has no heat, have torn everyting apart and cleaned out all the lint, but still no heat.

Burner not lighting/staying lit. Most likely the ignitor.
