Your desktop was designed for Win7 and WILL NOT work properly on XP. You can however, install the support for XP part of Win7 Ultimate Edition. Aparently it works realy well but I have no personal dealings with that side as I like Win7. Hope that brings an end to your XP torment.
You're saying that there's no sound coming on your computer or you lost the songs save on your computer?? If the problem is there's no sound coming from your computer make sure the sound device is working properly check it under device manager..
Easiest thing I can tell you to do is go and Google search Belarc Advisor and download the program and install. After installation it will run a scan of your PC and then give you a detailed report for all the software and hardware your PC has. Then look for the audio hardware and Google search the name and type driver. Most onboard audio is common to only a few manufatureres and drivers are available almost anywhere. Since I don't know exactly what your hardware is this will save you a bunch of time. You can print the report out and save it so the next time your PC crashes you will know exactly what you need to do get it back up to 100 % again
First you know the mark of your Desktop PC, it is DAEWOO. You have received a book whit it to tell you whitch model it is or a serial nummer. Go to DAEWOO website and see if they are the different drivers for your model of PC. If no you must open the case of the computer and see the materials inside. for each components as VIDEO CARD, SOUND CARD,...note the mark an type or serial nummer and go to the website of the constructor to download the right driver , for you choose WINDOWS XP. If your plan is to install VISTA you must have drivers for VISTA. A thing that can allways help you is the system information whicht detailled your hardware configuration, the name of each component, modele and the driver installed. I hope this help you.
