How do i connect computer to tv

This depends on what TV video and audio inputs you have and what Computer video and audio outputs you have.
For sound you can use the headphone output from the computer and the Red/White RCA jacks on the TV.
For video its more complicated because you need to know what physical cord will plug into the TV input and to your Video Card output first, then see if you can adjust the video cards output signal to a signal that your TV can display.

If you can snap a couple pics of the TV and Computer sound and video connections I will try to give you some advice.

How do i connect my dell latitude D610 to my Ilo tv?

Computers have become all-out media centers, capable of playing movies, music, and video games and even of streaming live television. Modern computers also come with an assortment of ports and outlets that allow easy connectivity to other devices, including televisions. Today's HDTVs can display high-resolution images ideal for showing off the media available on your computer, and they're relatively easy to connect.

Determine which type of cable to use; it will depend on which ports both your computer and TV share. Older computers and TVs will only have S-Video or VGA ports. Ideally, your computer and TV will both have HDMI ports, which allows for high-definition video and audio transfer. Consult your owner's manuals for port identification before deciding on which cable to use. Connect the computer's video outlet, either HMDI, VGA, or S-Video, to the TVs corresponding video input. These will usually be on the back of the TV and will be clearly labeled. Turn on your TV and set it to the proper video channel, which will correspond with the type of cable you have used. Some TVs have multiple ports for the same connection. Just set the video channel to whichever port you have used--for example, "HDMI 1" or "HDMI 2." On your computer, right click on your desktop and highlight "Graphics Properties," prompting a submenu to pop up. Highlight and click "Output to TV." Your computer's images should now be displayed on the TV instead of the monitor.

Does your TV have a "VGA" input? If so, then connect the VGA-output from your computer's video-card to that VGA-input.

Does your TV have a "DVI" input? If so, then connect the DVI-output from your computer's video-card to that DVI-input.

Does your TV have a "S-Video" input? If so, then connect the S-VIdeo-output from your computer's video-card to that S-Video-input.

What do i need to use t3500 to watch tv

  • 1

Determine what kind of video line-in connection the TV has. These connections are typically on the back or side of the TV. You also will need to determine what kind of video line-out connection the computer has.

Types of video connections include S-Video, VGA, DVI and HDMI. The Resources section of this article offers links to sites that will help you identify the connection type of your TV and computer.

  • 2

Purchase a video connection cable that is for the type of connection that the computer and TV share. For example, if the TV and computer both have S-Video ports, you should purchase an S-Video cable. S-Video connections are the most common and least expensive option.

  • 3

Connect the end of the S-Video cable that matches the connection on the computer to the computer video line-out port. Connect the other end to the video line-in port of the same kind on the TV.

  • 4

Convert video from VGA video to S-Video or even component video. Do this if the two connection ports on the computer and TV are not compatible. You will need to purchase a scan converter box, a VGA video cable, and either an S-Video or component video cable. Connect the cable that will connect to the computer jack to the computer and the converter box, and connect the S-Video or component video cable to the TV and the converter box.

  • 5

Turn on the TV and use the remote control to select "Input." Some TVs will have multiple selections. Turn on the computer and play a movie or display an image on the screen. As you are scrolling through the "Input" options on the television, you will see a matching image of what you opened on your computer on the TV screen when the correct input is selected.

  • 6

Adjust the screen resolution on the computer if the image on the TV is distorted, too small or too large. Do this by going into Control Panel and Display Settings on the computer. Select a different screen resolution until the image on the TV fits the TV screen

I want to view my computer through the tv monitor

The computer will need to have its video setting changed to work with the TV.
Check the LG TV Owner’s manual for video settings that will work with your TV.
After the settings are made in the computer, make sure your computer will output the video stream to an external monitor (TV) by using a cord from the computer to the TV.
    Good Luck.

I wANT TO CONNET MY LAPTOP TO MY CRT TV

    What you need:
This is hard to define initially as there are so many ways to achieve this depending on what type of television you have and what video outputs your computer offers. You may also find that you only want to attach the stereo, and leave the TV disconnected, or vice versa.

.HDMI - High Definition Multimedia Interface: Ideally we will all have an HDMI connection on both our television and video card, but most likely don’t have it on either. Many new LCD screen and Plasma displays offer this mother of connections. They are also becoming a little more popular on Video cards. This will give you the highest quality signal. This format can also carry audio. This is very easy to connect from one device to another. It offers the same video quality as a DVI.

here are some tips that will help
Computer has HDMI and TV has HDMI – Use HDMI
Computer has DVI and TV has DVI – Use DVI
Computer has DVI and TV has VGA – Use VGA + Adaptor
Computer has VGA and TV has VGA – Use VGA
Computer has S-Video and TV has S-Video – Use S-Video
Computer has RCA and TV has RCA – Use RCA
Computer has S-Video and TV has RCA – Use RCA with adaptor
Computer has RCA and TV has S-Video – Use RCA with adaptor

Hook up a Sony VGC RA 840G desktop to a Samsung 46 inch TV

Some TV's don't have a VGA input. S-Video cable is more common. Look on the back of your computer an see if you have an S-Video jack. If you have a TV compatible output on your computer, such as an S-video jack, just take an S-video cable and connect it to your computer and your TV. If you do not, then attach your VGA end of your adapter to your computer and use the RCA, S-video or Component Video cable to attach to your TV. After you've made all the connections, make sure you are on the correct TV video input. Press the input button on your TV or remote until you see your computer's signal.

    Connecting computer to tv

If your computer has an S-video jack, (and if your tv has one)then all you need is the cable. If not, you need some sort of pc to tv converter, which run a wide range of prices, depending on if your tv has s video or not.
