Hello I'm trying to dismantle my hayward pump, but can't seem to able to remove the turbine... without forcing it too much....any tricks?

If you haven't got your answer yet, I can help you, but it seems very late to reply. I have a same model, I take apart it, I see 2 bearings, you probably need puller to get it out.

If all the belts, bearings, shafts, etc are in order and the wheels don't turn then the turbine is not providing power to the system. This turbine is under a cover inside the cleaner. Remove the cover to inspect it (look for any mechanical problems). You can also connect water pressure to it at this time to see if the jet that turns it will make the turbine turn. If the turbine is being hit by a jet of water it should turn if the friction in the belts, bearings, shafts, etc. is not too high.

I'd suggest the 1.5 HP Hayward Super Pump, model SP2610X15. It's layout makes fitting it into the footprint of the Jacuzzi easier since it's ports roughly line up and are smaller in spread than the jacuzzi. Any pump will require some monor replumbing; the Haywards should be the least intrusive.

Another good choice would be the Pentair Whisperflow in a 1.5HP with or without the variable spped features.

navigators are prone to debris getting stuck in the turbine and causing the unit to stop. Try clearing the turbine and try it again. Depending on the age of the unit, you could also be in need of a turbine kit. There are plastic bearings that hold the turbine and after time they will wear out and cause the unit to not move very well or move in circles. It will look like the pods are moving but since the turbine is not providing the normal range of movement, the unit will not work properly. Take the unit apart and inspect the turbine bearings and "A-Frame" bearings as well. If the bearings are damaged, you'll need to buy a "Turbine kit with a-frames". You should be able to install it yourself.

If you look closley you will see that the end piece of the hose is a plug that slides into a coller. The outside will slide back and the end plug or nozzel will come out of host at that point. Good luck.

check for debris that may be stopping the turbine from spinning. If that is not it and the turbine spins freely, check the bearings on the turbine and a-frames. If you have a rough finish in your pool such as pebble tec, check the pod shoes for excessive wear.

sounds like you have some bad bearings on either the turbine or "a" frames. this will cause the navigator to go in circles and coil the hose. also check the tightness of the left and right pods. you can pop off the white cap and tighten the screw with a 1/4" nut driver.

you can buy a turbine kit with "a" frames, that should get it back to "new" condition.

whith the main pool pump on and the booster pump on too. pull the hose up to the deck, without pulling the phantom out of the water. You will see unions leaking, you will have to replace them. what is happening is pressure is being relieved from the unions and their for, does not have the force to move the phantom..
