We have the Chromium FX and put in brand new batteries ($18 worth) and it still won't turn on.

please double check that you're using rechargeable batteries for your replacements. And if the batteries were branded as casio, then your device might require that specific brand of batteries to work. Sometimes manufacturers do this on purpose to keep customer money out of the hands of 3rd-party competitors.

Fuses in the electrical box?

Recently we had to put a new fuse in the starter ???????????? What fuse ? location , size . A fuse blowing means a electrical short to ground .

No. This camera requires service/repairs, the repairs will be more than this model camera is worth !!!!

Your battery is probably shot. The batteries for the Worx trimmers are terrible. They sell replacement batteries on ebay, but if you can afford it i highly recommend buying a quality trimmer from your local hardware store, either plug in or gas.

Brand new as in you just opened it out of the box? If thats the case you have to charge the re-chargeable battery first, then put it in the camera and it should work fine. Try giving the battery a charge first if you haven't already.

i have a nikon s570 that is about 18 months old. (not under warantee anymore) it won't turn on, so we bought a brand new battery, charged it and it still won't turn on. Nothing. no motor noise, no lights, nothing. any ideas? nikon wants us to send it to them for evaluation and fixing....any thoughts?
