SOURCE: how to set up uniden phone to base

If the handset has previously worked with the base - press the hangup button and the # key at the same time on the handset for five seconds and follow the prompts to deregister the handset. (System reset - deregister HS - which handset) It will tell you that the handset is deregistered. Then put the handset onto the base and it will register the handset.

What is the model # of your handset. It must be tcx 900 or tcx 905 to be compatible with the tru 9488. Good luck! :)

SOURCE: adding a new handset

You need to register the new handset with the base.
In Global settings De-register the new handset then place it on the main base unit connected. It should then register.

SOURCE: IT RINGS BUT YOU CAN NOT ANSWER THE PHONE EXECT FROM THE BASE

See if in the menu choices there is an option to reset all factory defauts. It seems someone has mistakenly locked out the other to units. Can you still use them as intercoms?

Hi i have a uniden ZO68 i want to add another hand set to this i have brought another uniden ZO68 second hand hand set and i can't set it up can you help me please

did you get the charging base with the hand set
is it a charging base or a base station base
if it is just a charging base , follow the instructions as how to get the base station to recognize the next phone
if it is a base station, probably won't work as you will have 2 base stations trying to work and that will create conflicts
talk with a telephone technician to see what can be done

My base unit unit keeps flashing 8-88, and the hand sets all say searching

If there is an error code with an E followed by a number or "88" displays/flashes it would be an internal issue in the base unit. Uniden does offer a limited 1 year warranty (Covers Manufacture Defects ONLY, if caused by a power surge or power outage or any other type of damage that is not a Manufacture Defect this is not covered under warranty) off the proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is required for warranty service.

I have a four phone system. Two of the phones don't work. What should I do?

Move them around to the other base stations and see if they work in their new location. If they work then, the original base stations are broke and need replacement. If they still don't work, then you know the phones are faulty. Open them up and replace with new comparable rechargeable batteries and let them charge on their base stations for at least 16 hours. Now give that a shot. Still nothing? Then you know the two phones have truly given up the ghost and will need replacing.

Hi my uniden cordless phone keeps saying searching? How do I get it to work again?

You have to go to menu on your head set and on the phone that is hooked up to the wall and go to menu on it then go to register base on both phones and hit that and then it will register your hand set. That should fix your problem.

Phones won't Register!!

It is possible that you have maxed all of the headsets that can connect to the base. Yes, the base can support 10 headsets, but there is a small chance that in some way you registered more to the base or you purchased a base that had phone registered to it that are not in your possession. Either way, if the base is maxed out, you will not be able to register any additional headsets to it. The only option is to do a factory reset of the base unit if this happens to be the case. This is done as follows according to Uniden Tech Support:

1. Disconnect the power from the base

2. hold down the following three (3) keys: [dnd] + [middle soft key] + [*]

3. While holding down the keys, plug in the base (hold the keys down until you hear a long beep). This is supposedly all it takes to reset the phone.

The way to determine the number of hand sets tied to the phone is to press the intercom key on the base and scroll through the list of phones. if you see more than the number you anticipate still being tied to the base, you will have to utilize the above procedure.

The base ringer on my Uniden TRU9480 base station rings very loud and cannot find where to either adjust or discontinue the ringer. Jackgee1

I found my owners manual and to adjust the ringer on either the Base Station or Hand Set as follows:
with the hand set in place just use the base arrow up or down to go from 0 (off) to 2 (loud) and on the hand set just use the arrows for high low or off. Just bew sure to have the hand set on the base before adjusting the ringer
