There are sixty seconds in a minute, so 1 min 60 sec is the same as 2 min. If you want 40 seconds less than 2 minutes then set it for 1 min 20 sec or for 80 sec.

Microwaves can be purchased at any appliance store, the best location around here is usually HHGregs. But not knowing where you live its hard to say. Also if you are looking to replace it with the same type (although if it is fairly new and already cracked maybe a different type or model would be a better solution) I would do a google search. My mother had the same problem and she was going to trash it. Me being an extreme environmentalist, dint wanna let it go to the scrapyard. Got it down to Mumbai India checked with the engineers down here and rectified it. Problem was with the Magnatron. You would need to replace it. Well this one's getting repaired and off to a institution in need like the Home for the Aged rather than some scrapyard.

its overheating,the high temp overload will shut it off until it cools then it will let the unit work again.If it was the capacitor or the high voltage diode the unit would stop working,and not work again.

If the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.
