FISHER PAYKEL WASHING MACHINE FAULT CODE 56 DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT MEANS

I just did this exact repair and it fixed my problem. My GWL11 washer was throwing a 00111000 which = a code 56. The washer would fill, barrel would rotate, water would recycle from bottom to top but then it wouldn't oscillate during the wash cycle, it just sat still and after a 5 min wait of nothing happening, no motor noises at all, total silence, it would beep constantly and threw the code. I could unplug and power cycle it a few times until the capacitors drained, plug it back in then skip to spin and it would drain and spin out. The fact that it would spin allowed me to exclude the rotor position sensor as the problem.
I disassembled the drum and cleaned out the clutch area which was dirty/silty inside but seemed to be engaging properly and all the teeth in the clutch and spline look okay on all parts so I put it back together.
I checked the pressure tube for leaks and it tested fine with no leaks or kinks and was attached properly.
All of this led me to believe that the main control board was the problem. I thought I was going to have to replace it @ $180+ which did not make me happy so I searched for an alternative until I found this thread.
The pictures aren't totally clear but the three resistors in a row labeled R129 R130 R131 on the board need removed and replaced with a single 1 mega ohm resistor, I used a 1/4 watt, that bridges the entire gap left where the old ones were located. Color code for the resistor is (brown, black, green, gold). I was able to get this at a local electronics shop for 15 cents. A radio shack would probably have these as well. I dont have a lot of experience soldering on pcbs so I took it to a friend who owns a computer/tv repair shop and he soldered it up in a couple mins for me. On a side note, he tested each of the small 332k resistors he pulled out and each tested good, but the repair worked, go figure.

Hey, its a great feeling saving money! I did this repair in Sept 2014 & now 2 years later my washing machine is still running perfectly.
