Go into settings, then manage apps, go in and clear your caches on each downloaded app 1st. Then go into your playstore and find a cache cleaner/memory boost. This should help remind you to keep them cleared up and it will stop freezing and run faster.
You should first delete files in your phone gallery manually before you go to your inbox. Delete pictures,videos or something that you don't need in your phone memory. Restart your phone to refresh the system.

1. Delete unused names/numbers from the address book to free up memory. (Perhaps write down the ones you want to keep for later re-entry)
2. Once a critical threshold is reached the msg inbox indicator will blink on
3. Enter inbox and DELETE as many messages as you can before phone freezes up again
4. If phone freezes or you get the error message again, restart and keep deleting from the phone book until it allows you hassle-free msg inbox access as per normal (but don't forget to continue deleting thos messages).
I think the best thing to do' is master clear and master resset the phone' but all your massage and file, such as phonebook entries, datebook, media and all the files you have save in your phone will be deleted...
