Speakers have stopped working with my pc - Altec Lansing VS2321 Computer Speakers

this could be an issue with driver or service failure in the computer..

try restarting the computer in safe mode .. and see if the internal speakers work.. try running a driver update through device manger.. check the cables of course.

if that does not help .. then call 1-877-805-1027 for expert help

you stop the speakers and add vlc media player it works nicely.

This could be one of two things;

1. There is a wiring, connection issue from the laptop to the speakers.
2. There is a driver issue. Try clicking uninstall on the speakers. Under device manager, right click the speakers and click uninstall, and then click scan for changes. This will attempt to install the newer drivers.

remove the sound drivers then install the latest drivers

2. check if the corret sound out put is selected in sound option in control manger

whenever you put in the head phones the speaker will stop working and when you take the headphones out they will start working again this is their normal behaviour.

It's more than likely your audio device driver. You may need to install or update the driver before the audio will output sound, or a speaker icon can be added to your systray.

You go through control panel option sounds & audio device there you will get enable speaker option check that one.
