Keyboard works, but where can I find an actual booklet to help me learn about this keyboard because e-machines did not have one and I have been using another keyboard/mouse set since I bought the computer. Is the computer still "thinking" that I have the former set? When I plugged the keyboard in the computer did not say "new device detected". The brand is e-machines but not in your menu list.

Hi,

At first you have to uninstall drivers of your old keyboard.

After connect your new keyboard and install drivers which came with your keyboard.

If there is no drivers came with keyboard, let windows automatically detect your keyboard and mouse and install drivers.

How do I use predictive txt

Hi there, to use predictive text, you'll need to enable it in the keyboard settings of the phone.

When you go into settings, you can find language and input devices.

From there, you go to your selected input device, then into its settings, and enable predictive text.

I also highly recommend downloading a better keyboard from the android play store. Gokeyboard is one of my favourite keyboards, it's free, and it has great word prediction.
It also has a step by step "press next to continue" wizard to help you install it and set it as your default keyboard.

If you don't mind paying a little for a good keyboard, swiftkey is also an excellent keyboard and actually learns your typing habits to make your typing easier and quicker. It's not free, however, but is totally worth the price they ask.

Good luck!

What do I need to use keyboard #3169WW to my palm TX? And how do I hook it up? Thanks for any information.

The "Getting Started" booklet essentially says the following, but I'm restating it just in case.
If you lack this booklet and/or the "User Guide," you can download them from the following:
http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/keyboards/palmuniversalwirelesskeyboard/unlocked/home/page_en.html

The keyboard comes with an installation disk that you run on your PC or Mac.  Do so.
It will set up a program called keyboard.prc to be installed on the T'X at your next HotSync.

After the HotSync, unfold the keyboard, add batteries, and place the T'X onto it.
Run "keyboard" on your T'X and it should connect.  You'll be able to set preferences and shortcuts.

Have your laptop model L300 and trying to download antivirus protection but, need forward slash to do so. I can't activate it, please help.

You may need a new keyboard. But a good work-around is to go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Accessibility - and choose the on-screen keyboard. This will allow you to type without actually using your keyboard... if one of your keys does not work, you may need a new keyboard.. use the work-around until you purchase one.

Keyboard doesnt work on my repaired emachine with win xp

Could be a couple of things.

First, try connecting another keyboard using the same type of connection as your keyboard. (PS2, or USB). If that one works in the machine; then it's more then likely that there is a problem with your keyboard.

If it doesn't work, it may be a problem with the system itself or possibly a software problem. To test a keyboard is very simple and this test is integrated in most of the BIOS startup systems today. Simply press more than 7 keys right when you turn your power on to the system. If it beeps after a few seconds of holding or brings up a keyboard error, then the keyboard is communicating with the system. If there's a keyboard error that actually states that there is no keyboard present; then there is a problem.

I hope this helps you narrow it down. If it's not the keyboard itself, and you can't get any keyboards to work, I'd have that shop take another look at what they did.
