It means that netflix is down right now. Netflix problably got hacked in one way or another... or they might just be doing maintenance or something like that. On the bright side, your player is fine.
that is unless your pandora and hulu and others are not working too...if nothing is working then your usb device may be overheated or connection down.
hope this helps,

Well I have this problem occasionally with my Sony BDP-BX57 3D Blue Ray. Did all the reset up of the Netflix from error code 600. and also 300. I have had both at different time.
However last night I was watching Netflix and went to see the next episode and got Error 300. Did all the troubleshooting. Then called Netflix and they said they are experiencing streaming problems and suggest that streaming on the PC might still work. It did I was able to see the next episode....but not as comfortable as sitting in the recliner in front of the TV!
Now this happened a few months ago. Wonder if this is going to be an issue.
I also was not able to get Amazon streaming. But the internet was fine. What is going on out there?
I have had this problem two nights in a row - called Netflix, they tell me it is a problem with Sony. Get timeouts trying to connect to Netflix, or Reference Code 300. TV works fine, can watch Netflix on Computer but still have issues. This problem used to happen once in a while. Now two night in a row - 9PM - and then can not get connected until 9:30. Ready to dump the whole thing.
