------------------------------------------------------------------ Canadian Tire stopped supporting this product in 2008 and have no parts in inventory ( I am not convinced they ever had a stock of parts) The Spin Saw was manufactured in China by Choon Nang Electric. Your best bet is going to a small engine repair shop and ask if they have universal parts which could fit. Best of luck Claude

Mastercraft Maximum spin saw kit 54-8205-8 Where can I obtain a flexible shaft part # 2221-MA0006-01

Type "Sears Parts Direct" into your computer search engine, along with the make and model number, and see if they recognize your machine.
If so, they might have a part for it.
I would also try "e-bay" or Amazon, but you will need the part number of what you want first, I would say.
God bless your efforts.

Where do I get a set of brush for a mastercraft 14'' abrasive chop saw

Your best bet in this situation is to find a tool repair center that has a large supply of brushes on hand and is willing to look for a set that will work in your saw. At my repair center I do get tools like yours that don't have repair parts available. Most brushes come in standard sizes but the caps on the spring have to be compatable with the brush holder to work properly. If you don't know where a repair center is, go online and look for Authorized Service Centers in your area. You can get more specific and look for Dewalt, Ridgid, Makita, Milwaukee, etc., service centers.

2.It is best to grind the new brush to the Radian size of the old brush.

4. the carbon brush size should be equal, not too big or too small. The carbon brush is not subject to force in the process of placement.

Flexible shaft adapter for a Mastercraft Maximum Spin Saw Kit 54-8205-8. Canadian Tire doesn't stock parts does anyone know where I can get parts?

I think I may have the same kit (#54-8204-0-).
I called Mastercraft at 1-800-689-9928 and they told me that these were under a 3 year exchange/replacement warranty, and after that we are out of luck (the stores do not stock parts, and unless they have some returned kits around, there may not be parts available).

I asked about the current zip saw (Click this link) and am hoping that parts from that will work. The girl at Mastercraft gave me the number for Powertools plus / JinDing (who make this tool), and I am going to call them and see if I can order the collet that drives the flexible cable (1/4" collet to the small square of the cable).
Their number is 1-877-683-2082.

I am hoping that these are fairly standard, and that the collet will fit.

Carbon brush has broken and is stuck in so i cannot put a new one in, on Einhell sliding mitre saw

If you cannot get the carbon pieces and/or spring out of the brush holder your only option is to take the saw apart and remove the armature. From there you can either push the carbon piece(s) through or out from the other side. It will also give you a better assessment of any damage caused to the brush holder and armature contacts.

How to install carbon brush

You have to open the case. First remove the transparent plastic on the side then you will see screws on the bottom part of the transparent plastic. Unscrew them and from there you will open the machine. Remove the rexair cover and unscrew the screw that attaches to the 2 carbon brush. When you remove the carbon brush you will see a spring and the copper wire at the end of the brush. remove it and put the new copper wire from the new carbon brush to the contact passing thru the middle of the spring. Then screw it back tightly.

Mastercraft 1/2'' hammer drill not working

Some of the 'good' hardware stores sell small brushes for hand tools. Look around and you can custom fit the brush if it's not exactly right size with light sand paper
