Probably. Several hours is probably a worse case scenario. Actual update times depend on speed of computer, internet(?), and what else your computer is doing. Nothing to worry about.

What version of Windows is this? I am going to assume Vista/7...
Even though it's not recommended to power off the computer while it's updating, I have done this several times when they are stuck for hours.
If you want to risk it, Hold the power button down for 5-7 seconds and the computer will have it's power cut. Wait another 30 seconds after the power down and start it back up. It should start installing updates procedure again. In my experience, it usually works after this. It still can take some time though, so be patient.

If the element is hot thats what its supposed to do...if the whole back side is hot its a problem,as far as how long you should feel some cold in at least one corner of the freezer in an hour or less...On a hot day mine takes about 3 hours to get in the forties in the friodge and zero in the freezer.
You have to hit certain buttons before you can enter the code, and then hit those same buttons to tell the head unit that you're done entering the code. Sometimes it takes several tries before they'll work.
The other possibility is, if you enter it twice incorrectly, you have to let the car sit with the key on (but engine off) for two hours before trying again - it requires that time in between. Less than two hours and it'll ignore any attempt to unlock it.
as you know the problem is with the windows operating system. there must have been some settings that was changed due to some updates by your other programs/software/applications/or updates by drivers.
the best tech who can help you with this problem will be the maker of the program which is microsoft. there must be a patch or whatever that needs to be done to correct your issue.
they should be able to give the solution since they are the maker of the program
if you have still the problem, I got the solution from Kef USA. It is
somewhat involved in taking the unit apart and replacing a resistor and
capacitor. With the instructions supplied any electronic techician or
TV repair man can do it in less then 1 hour. email me and I forward the
