Check to see if the hose and the dirt inlet by the brush roll is open and not clogged. Also if you haven't replaced the belt in a awhile, it may have stretch to the point that it isn't turning the brush roll under load.

Not picking up dirt - already changed the vacuum bag

Check the belt. It may be slipping or broken. You can turn the vacuum over and turn it on briefly to make sure the brushes rotate.

If this is not the case, their may be a vacuum leak or something obstructing airflow, which is necessary to create a vacuum to pick up the dirt.

Good luck!

My eureka vacuum won't suction and starts to smoke when I try to use it. It sounds like it is suctioning when I first turn it on, but after about 20 seconds it begins to smell like burning and does not...

The problem is that your belt is stretched and worn. This causes that burning smell and it also causes the vacuum to not pick up well. You need to replace the belt. Here is the belt you need and the manual with instructions:

I am looking for the filter for the Eureka bagless Altima vaccum cleaner

There should be an toll free # to call for eureka and they can direct you to the nearest authorized eureka service center in you area. If its a new model places like wallmart wont stock it. There are so many vacuum makes and models its impossible for any one business to stock every single bag, belt, filter etc. for them all. But a decent vacuum repair shop should be able to get it for you.

Mine wont pick up

filters are internal and if blocked will affect air flow. Check brushes in the foot not jammed or wrapped in hair
