P0103 code. I cleaned maf still have same code and stalls. I disconnect maf still stalls. I changed it one year ago code come back after 4 weeks. I have 2000 Hyundai Elantra.

the ecm may be bad,
P0103 OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit High Input What does that mean? Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow High (MAF) sensor or circuit. A more technical description would be that the MAF circuit had higher than expected voltage (air flow). Other MAF sensor circuit DTC trouble codes are P0100, P0101, P0102, and P0104. Symptoms You will likely not notice any serious drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a general decrease in power or sluggishness. Causes A code P0103 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad The MAF sensor may be damaged The vehicle computer may be faulty (very rare) Possible Solutions The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures: Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires. Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor. Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor. Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information) Replace the MAF sensor. My Windstar 2001 has the P301 code and is sputtering despite a very recent tune-up (everything was changed from the spark-plug to the coil). The trouble was there before the tune-up and is still there...

Your MAF mass air flow sensor is faulty. You can clean them sometimes with carb cleaner an it will work for awhile but it needs replacing. It's telling the computer the wrong information about how much air is going to the engine.

2001 ford focus had the spark plugs and wire change. Has a code po171.. ran good for two days. The spark plugs are blacker than acs of spades which is running rich. Don't know what to do next. To me its...

Air filter cover tight?
All intake ducting tight?
Clean MAF Sensor.--CRC MAF Cleaner
Fuel Pressure Regulator?
EVAP Purge Valve-stuck open?
Vacuum leaks?
EGR System-issues?

Seems your getting a lean O2 Code, because it is trying to correct for a rich condition,as you said.

Is the Throttle Position Sensor-original?

Work on what is driving it rich,my list is a possible.

99 CHEVY trouble shoot code P0171

LEAN TROUBLE CODES (P0171 or P0174) A code P0171 or P0174 indicate the engine is running lean. This means there is too much air and/or not enough fuel. You can confirm the engine is running lean by looking at Short Term Fuel Trim (STFT) and Long Term Fuel Trim (LTFT). Normally, STFT and LTFT should be plus or minus 8 from zero. If STFT and/or LTFT are more than about +10 or higher, it indicates the engine is running LEAN. Negative numbers (-10 or more) indicates the engine is running RICH. A lean fuel condition can be caused by:

* Low fuel pressure due to a weak pump or leaky fuel pressure regulator. (use a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure at idle)

* Dirty fuel injectors. (try cleaning the injectors)

* Vacuum leaks at the intake manifold, vacuum hose connections or throttle body. (Use a vacuum gauge to check for low intake vacuum)

* Leaky EGR valve. (Check operation of EGR valve)

* Leaky PCV Valve or hose. (Check valve and hose connections)

* Dirty or defective Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). (Try cleaning the MAF sensor wires or filament with aerosol electronics cleaner. Do NOT use anything else to clean the sensor, and do not touch the sensor wires)

______________________________-- Causes A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
  • There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.
Possible Solutions Possible solutions include:
  • In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
  • Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
  • Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure

My Hyundai xg300 downshifts from 5th gear into 3rd gear. We have changed the mass air flow sensor and some other sensor that is attached to the transmission. We never wash the engine so it's not water on...

Yeah... why did you change the MAF?... Someone tell you the MAF caused your transmission to shift from 5th to 3rd?... I don't think so!
Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on. You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

Hyundai Accent intermittent jerking

Revs.
As for the issue of the idle revs, that's perfectly normal. When it's cold outside, every car is supposed to have a higher rev in order to warm up the engine quickly. In more advanced cars, the computer wont even allow the engine to shift into overdrive when it's cold outside in order to avoid extreme engine stress and damage. When it's warm outside, the engine doesn't need to idle high because the engine is already at a good operating temperature. Not much will be needed to get it to the right temperature.
Intermittent Jerking

There is a long list of things that could cause intermittent jerking. I'm going to name all of them for you, but your best best would be to go to a mechanic and have them do an inspection.
Clogged PCV Valve (Possibly if you don't get your oil changes on time, sign of a tune up)
Bad DIstributor Cap (not likely at 140,000 miles)
Clogged fuel filter (Very likely, usually done with tune up)
Bad Fuel Pump (Not so likely)
Defective ECM (also not likely)
Vacuum hoses/leak (not likely but possible)
MAS (Mass Airflow Sensor--not likely but possible)
Fuel INjectors (if so, sign of a needed tune up)
Faulty Spark Plug Wires (not likely if tune up is recent)
Faulty O2 Sensors (possibly)

Clogged Catalytic Converter (Possible)
~Hope this helps
