Does it ask for a wireless key or something? If yes then please enter your wireless password so that you can join it. If not then let me know and we will look at other possibilities.

Hmm.. Thats weird! And you have other devices that can connect with the same wireless key? Did you try other encryption systems such as WPA-PSK and see if it works? Please try it and let me know

  • Anonymous Apr 10, 2011

In that case I can guarantee that this is not an issue with the ipad itself. It must be under warranty so please use it to get the unit replaced. You have already tried everything thats possible.

There is a Quick Setup Security (QSS) button on the router that you have to press to allow wireless devices to connect for the first time. Press that then join the network and it will work. You only need to press it once for each device

You will need to follow these instructions to log in to your router and find your key. open your web browser and type in this ip address in the address bar 192.168.1.1 then click on wireless settings then click wireless security on the left of where it says key 1 is your wireless key

How many access point can bridge with tl-wr941nd router

Depends on the access point, and how you configure it. If your access point can do NAT, then theoretically you could have up to 255 access points, each managing their own private network, and connecting to your router on whatever its current subnet is. But, if like most home setups, you just are looking to extend distance capability, then your limit, as a practical matter, is 255 minus the total number of devices you intend to reach. So... if you have 20 devices on the network, you could have 235 access points. Silly, yes, but you could.

As a REAL practical matter, however, consider that the throughput of the main router, the TP-LINK you cite, can probably only handle 20 or 25 TOTAL devices before it slows down to a point of being unusable.

Try using the parental control tools on your router to block it. As FB uses https:// the connection is encrypted, The router cannot see the URL accessed. Don't block https:// in general as you will not be able to access sites that uses a secure connection, ie Amazon, your bank, etc

I have a new TP-Link WR941ND router My new Toshiba laptop can see it on the wireless network but when i enter the secure key it tells me it can not join, even my new iPad2 can see it but can not join the...

Greetings - Most likely the router is setup with a certain security type, such as WEP or WPA of which there are several types each.

Your laptop and Ipad have to be setup for the same kind of security as the router then the security key will work.

If you setup the router you have to log back into the router settings and see what kind of security is setup and what the login password is. If you didn't setup the router the person who did has to tell you what the security settings on your devices should be.

Good Luck and Thank you for using Fix Ya.
