My Sony erricson turns on but then the screen goes white

sony has a big problem white display.. the 1000000000% solution is change the display strip

My sony erricson wont turn on and if i put it on charge it lights up red on the camera button, sometimes it turns on but it turns off again straight away..... what can i do please help...

the solution is to open up sony ericsson pc suite
then under tools click "phone repair" and follow the prompts
if this fails it means your battery is dead, try charging it and try again

When I had the white screen problem, I was about to replace my W810i before I found out about the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS). I used it to fix the firmware inside my phone, even though the phone seemed dead and my computer wouldn't recognize it. You can download the SEUS from Sony's website here:

while searching the net i saw some other questions from users having simillar problems with their mobile. One in particular said they logged on to Sony Erricson support and downloaded upto date software for their mobile. So i did the same and it has also solved my problem.

i have a w850i its just started playing up ...works fine then the screen goes white...theres definately no water damage...can any1 help thx mandy x

the phone needs to be reflash...you can do this at www.topsony.com or take the phone to a mobile center and have them do it for you

if this still doesnt work i suggest that you will have to flash it or reinstall the phones OS. it seems to be corrupted.

If you can try another fully charged battery, in your phone and it works then it might be a dodgy battery problem. leave the phone off to charge the battery for 10 hours and see if its better.
