Some video adapters have the capability to rotate the picture so it appears sideways or upside down.
Right click on an empty area of the screen, select properties. In Display Properties, select Settings, then Advanced. On the Dell I have, there is an Intel Graphics Tab- select this or a similiar Tab, then the Graphics Properties button, then Display Settings. The Rotation selections are found here.
Then exact sequence and steps may be different for your machine.

Try holding down the CTRL key + ALT key and tap on the Up arrow key once to rotate the display back to orginal orientation
