Question about Pyle PLMRA420 Car Audio Amplifier
I installed a new cd player for my car by myself, but it won't power on. The only thing that seems to work is a little flashing red anti-theft light. Does this indicate that the wiring is ok? I checked all the connections to make sure they were tight and that each wire was connected to the right one and all looked good. I also changed the fuses in the fuse box, but that didn't seem to make any difference either. I'm getting pretty frustrated, because I really don't know what else to do! Please help! Thanks so much!
When you see this problem, it usually means you have power on your deck's constant power wire (usually yellow) but no power on the accessory power wire (usually red). The accessory power wire is the one that sends voltage to the deck when the key is turned on. Usually this means that the red wire is either connected to the wrong vehicle wire, or that the vehicle's radio fuse is blown. As a last resort, you can disconnect the red wire from whatever it's connected to, and re-attach it to the same connection as your yellow wire. This should allow the radio to power up, but it won't turn on and off with the key-switch; you'd have to remember to turn it off or remove the face when you leave the vehicle, or you may drain the battery. Alternately, you can extend the red wire to a different source of key-switched voltage. Depending on the vehicle, you may be able to find this behind the cigarette lighter, at the key switch itself, or at the fuse box.

SOURCE: No Power
make sure you have power at the end of the harness which connects to the deck. also insure that you have the 12v constant and 12v interupited hooked up correctly. this is usually the problem when the deck reconizes power but not to power it. also make sure you have the key on acc. becasue this is one way to connect the 12v interupted.

I installed a new cd player, but ir won't power up. My light tester shows that I'm getting power through my red wire, but nothing through my yellow wire. What other way can I get power to the yellow wire? I have good ground, but head unit will not power on.... I am very frustrated because I've installed a radio on numerous occassions and never had this problem before. I've been on the internet all day trying to find help, could it be the type of factory system I used to have? Somebody please help!
