How to reinstall the web cam software for my acer aspire 5334-2581

install the driver of webcam.

You need to redownload the drivers for your crystal eye web cam. Go to this link: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

When you get there, select "Notebook"...then select "Aspire". Then scroll down and select Aspire 5745. Then where you see "Operating System", select your operating system (ex: XP, Vista, or Windows 7). It will then show all the drivers for your operating system...scroll down until you see the camera driver software and then download and reinstall it. Hopefully this will help...good luck.

Acer Aspire Model generally comes with a bison web cam driver.
To use the web cam search for an application that installed in program files.In windows Xp web cam can be used by double clicking camera icon present in my computer. If you are using windows vista or other operating system you need an camera application software,to use it. Without application software you can use your web camera only in messengers,for example yahoo messenger. If u had an yahoo messenger login and click on view my web cam,now you can see your face in your laptop.So first thing is search for an application software installed on your laptop.

• Hi has the webcam ever worked? If so what happened to stop it working? The webcam on Acer notebooks is part of their Vista software so if you uninstalled by accident you would need to reinstall the application that runs it aswell. Acer notebooks have a useful utility called Acer Erecovery Management which you can use to reinstall. Goto Start, All Programs, Acer Empowering Technology Acer Erecovery Management.

if the web cam setup isn't working uninstall the webcam and reinstall it? If that fails you may have a corrupt area in the registry, try using reg-edit to remove anything that has to do with the webcam and reinstall if that fails.

try reinstalling the software and driver for it from the acer web site at

The acer web site has windows xp and vista drivers

you might have to install both the bison & orbicam driver & application software since there no easy way to tell what one you have built in
