Depending on your case, you may have to use a screw driver. Some cases require that you use a screwdriver to unscrew several screws in the back of the case. After doing so, the side panel should live off.
Other cases are built to all you to remove the case by using a release button or lever. Release buttons are typically located at the back of the machine and levers are typically located on the side of the machine.
