The power went out and then came back on, now my sanyo lcd tv wont turn on, model # dp32649. It is plugged in to a power surge protector and evwerything else that's plugged into it still works, any suggestions? Please help. Thank you

Do a Power Reset.

1. Turn off the TV.
2. Unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.)
5. Turn on the TV.

If the issue still persists after performing power reset, that may be an indication that the TV needs service. You may refer to this link to locate the nearest Sony authorized service center in your area.

Someone would have to open the set and look first to see if the fuse that connects right to the power cord inside is blown.

Some will say a surge protector will save electronics. I can tell you they may not help at all. A power surge is extremely fast and can over ride the surge protector. If you think you can repair this TV, I would certainly remove the back cover and inspect. Occasionally the only problem for repair is to replace the main fuse. Remember, this happens rarely. Most cases after a surge the TV will need to be inspected by a TV tech. Almost anything, in a power surge will damage the TV. There is no certain area that will not be damaged, expect it any where. i have this same problem and it just started

Check the main fuse in the power supply, the TV also has small surge protection devices (MOVs) installed after the fuse, any surges the come along and big enough will cause the main AC fuse to blow. When you surge protector, EVERY connections must go through the surge protector, for example, the AC cord of the TV is connected to the surge protector, the cable connection did not go through the surge protection, the surge then can get to the TV through the cables.

Power Supply Board is dead.Replaced the power supply board will solved this problems.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

do you have sound? if so check for a bad cap in the power or mainboard the can like device will be puffed up on the top the values is on the side if you find one change it out if not you will need a mainboad common problem

Lightening may have caused a surge on your power lines to the house and to the outlet the TV was on.
Do other things work on that outlet? If not you tripped a power breaker.If they do work check this.
Unplug the TV for 2 min or more and plug back in.
Try bypassing your surge protector you had it plugged into. It could have died when the lightening struck.
(no surge protector?) Bet you'll buy one for your next TV.
Look for 3000 joules and up rating for a surge protector and insure it has protection for a cable/antenna input too.
If this doesn't work the TV may be fried or internal fuse blown.
Time to take it to a repair shop or depending on it's age (5 years+) it may be time to buy a new TV and surge protector.

I am missing the stand to my Sanyo LCD TV. (DP 32647). I dont know where to buy a replacement one.

My receiver was turned on and plugged into a surge protector along with my LCD TV. The power went out and everything shut down.
