Two ways one if you have the factory install disk then use that. if not when you boot right after the bios i believe i f11 for gateway to use the recovery partition for your model t. but that will bring it back to factory settings. let me know. you must do this right after the bios posts if the loading screen for windows comes on then you missed it. and you have to try again if it works. shut it down get back online and let me know so i can feel good about myself lol then do it right

hope this helps!

Restore to factory settings on gateway ne56r10u

Hi
The link below takes you to a Gateway support page. Using the drop menus select your machine, and at the bottom of the page will come a list of drivers etc for your machine. Within the view there is a tab for "Documentation" from which you can download a "zip" file containing the manual. Opening the zip file shows you a pdf file which you can open in Acrobat Reader. Page 70 and following shows you how to return to factory settings but be aware that you will lose all personal settings and data if you do this. Read the other manual sections to ensure that you can't solve your problem without going back to factory settings

Click "Start" on your Windows desktop. Navigate through "All Programs" and "Gateway." Click on "Gateway Recovery Management." Click "Restore" when the Gateway Recovery Management window pops up, which will take the system back to the default factory specifications. A box will pop up asking for confirmation, click "Yes" and then "Start." You may have to enter a password as well, but only if your particular Gateway had a password set. Wait for the computer to restart. A "Restore from factory default" box will appear, requiring you to click "Next" twice in a row. Click "OK" in the box that appears next, and wait for the hard drive partition to be created. The factory default installation will then be moved over to the hard drive. Click "OK" in the box that appears and wait for a second Gateway restart. Several minutes will pass as Windows "starts for the first time." When restarting finally finishes, a "Set Up Windows" dialog box will appear. Click "Next," followed by checking the license agreement box, and then "Next" again. Enter a user name and picture, if desired, and a computer name. Also, customize the background wallpaper for your desktop, optionally. Click "Next." Click "Use Recommended Settings" on the Protect Windows-based dialog box that pops up. Set your correct date and time settings in the next box. Select your location in the following screen. Click "Next," followed by "Start" to finish. Wait while Windows checks for your individual Gateway computer specifications and adjusts accordingly. This will likely take several minutes, so leaving your computer for a short time is fine. Windows will then prepare your hardware and finish your Gateway restoration process, including the installation of Gateway Recovery Management. Once completed, your Gateway is good to go and ready at factory settings.
Hope this helps.

How do I reset my Gateway LT20 Netbook Series back to the factory settings?

Very simple! You need to go into Cmos for the setup which is usualy F2 on boot. Once in the setup you go to the end page whwere it asks you if you want to restore factory defaults. Simply click on it then press save and exit. If F2 does not work on the boot to access Cmos setup then look at the screen as it starts to boot and it will usualy tell you what function key is for setup. Good luck Phil

I wanted to know if i could upgrademy video card on my gateway e2300 desktop and if so what is compatible

Based on the motherboard photo at http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Intel2/2522213/2522213nv.shtml, the Gateway e2300 can accept PCI video cards (NOT PCI-e or AGP).

If your motherboard looks like that photo - buy any PCI video card and it should work.
