I have a 2005 H2 SUT modified...magnuson supercharger. The serpentine belts break and the rebuilt transmission overheats. The transmission was rebuilt to handle the extra torque, why is this happening? Help me please!!!
This Hummer has 6" lift (Bullet Proof) with 40" tires. The engine also gets hot....is this because of the supercharger? What can I do?

How often is the belt breaking? excess revolutions can cause premature wear. flushing the cooling system with the proper cleaners, refilling with dexcool and DISTILLED water can reduce the engine temp in h1's by at least 10 degrees in the desert. this i have done. also if the cooler for the transmission has not been upgraded to handle the new trans you will still get an overheat. you can also put a electric fan on the trans cooler. the belt may not be aligned properly.

if the serpentine belt is behind the supercharger belt and there is no way to get it off then yes but I suspect that if you fiddle a bit the belt will come off
there should be a decal under the hood somewhere that shows the belt routing. if its gone you can probably go to the library and find a book of your car that will show the routing and you can either draw a picture or take a photo of it.
Belt idler pully or tensioner pully maybe . Pull the serpentine belt off an see if the noise goes away . Just running the engine for a second or two you should be able to tell , an this will not hurt anything .
If the serpentine belt broke, the water pump would have also stopped turning, causing coolant to stop flowing...therefore the heater would run cold. Since the belt also turns the alternator, the charging system would also stop working (alt light). Since nothing is flowing through the engine or radiator, the engine will quickly overheat. Since your engine oil also does a bit of cooling as well as lubrication, oil passing through the overheated block will break down and overheat as well. Hopefully the light came on for that before any internal bearing damage was done. Smoke was due to the overheat. Your serpentine belt likely is not covered under a warranty, especially after four years. Hopefully the problem is isolated to just the belt but I do recommend that if you have an automatic transmission you change the fluid in that even if you are not at the change interval recommended. Trans oil is cooled by the cooling system and a severe overheat can chemically change it. Doing a change now will avoid any overheat related trans failure. Since you can't remove all the trans fluid (at best during a change you only remove half) so I recommend using a bottle of lucas trans additive to bolster the remaining fluid. Good luck!!
The fog lights run by default during the day in the "auto" position. To activate the headlights and the fog lights you need modify the jumper position in the fuse box for the lights. "see fuse box diagram"
