The Radio unit may need a 4-6 digit security code. Locate the owners man and other paperwork, (usually in the leather binder for jags) the radio code is in there along with it. No owners man? Call your local Jag dealer and give the parts dept your V.I.N. # . the parts guys will assist you better and wont pressure you to make an appt for service....
Once you get the the code, turn the ignition to the on position-without the engine running, simply enter the digits using the radio station preset #'s..... as soon as the last digit is entered, you'll hear a "beep" sound, indicating the security is deactivated and ready to go... good luck!

Turned radio off then battery died, got vehicle fixed but no power to factory radio, all fuses check as good. Is there a trick to getting the radio to turn on again?

when the battery dies or is removed , the anti-theft code of the radio kicks in and the unit will not work again until a special code for that radio is reinstalled
the code could be in the user manual in the radio use section ,or there are sites on the net that may have the code for you

Pro-95 will not scan, when first turned on, unit goes to manual mode with last selected channel. Upon selecting SCAN, unit will switch to SCAN mode, but will not move off the bank of last selected...

If you did the hold down '2' '9' reset, there isn't much more you can do. I have tried pulling out the battery pack and putting in a jumper wire between both battery contacts inside the radio (with no battery) and turn it on and let it sit for 1/2 hour. That's about the last thing to try. Only other goofy thing could be you got 'sticky pop' on the 'manual' button, so the radio thinks you pushed the manual button as soon as you turn it on. Make sure that the rubber isn't stuck around the manual button. You could try a QTip with 70% alcohol around the edge of the MANUAL button, but you also might wipe off some lettering at the same time, so use caution. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Landrover cassette display appear "SAFE" This cassette model is XQE500550.How can fix safe mode.

If you have the correct radio code for the unit, just wait about an hour with the power on in the radio. The screen will eventually display (code) or (enter code) follow the directions in your radio manual to enter the code and the radio will be operational again. The safe mode is on because either the radio fuse blew, the battery was too low on charge or the radio was momentarilly disconnected from it's power source. Most common is low battery voltage. Charge your vehicle battery, locate the radio code, wait till radio displays CODE and enter the code an have happy tunes again.

2 units have died. Possible power supply problem

I had a LRM-519 that would not get past a very dimly lit "hello" on the LED screen. I called tech support and was advised to make sure no disk was in the unit and turn off the power from the unit (not the remote) and unplug it from the wall outlet. While unplugged, hold down the power button for 30 seconds then plug it back in. This didn't work the first time, but after a few tries it worked for me. My unit hadn't worked for nearly 3 months prior to this. Good luck.

According to LG support, it would have cost $69 for labor plus parts to repair the unit. The main board/power board is $40.
