Delete the app from your iPad and from your itunes library Then, download the app again (you will not be charged) If the problem persists , try rebooting the device a few times before opening the app

1. press the Hammer button on bottom right corner. 2. The build menu will pop up. 3. There is a Camera icon at the top center edge. press it. 4. Will bring you back to the main village, and now the camera icon is located in the bottom left corner. Press it. 5. Viola!
I had the same issue after an update as well. I downloaded the latest IPAD software and once the IPAD software was updated the surfs game loaded properly. Good Luck
The application probably needs an update. I recommend restarting the iPad and see if that helps at all. If not then as a last resort remove the app and reinstall it.
You can build another long bridge. You might have a problem placing it so be sure to move other objects out of the way. Another problem on the iPod touch & iPhone is you can't scroll past the river when you don't have a long bridge. As it takes 120 hrs to build it can be a few days before you have access to that side of your village.
I have the same problem. Only the upper-part of my village is left, and little roads are left. Everything else is gone. I am still in level 24. Gargamel appeared, and it was like all starting over again... I just have 5 smurfs left.
I have the fix to this problem. Open Smurf Village--> click options--->restart village---> Yes---> Yes, sure-->fast forward through all the talk to get to new village--> Plant garden--->plant crop (you will notice there are no smurfs and the crop will not be planted)--> harvet the crop to the north--> now back out of the village and back to the main screen---> Click play and there you are back at your old village with nothing missing. I have had to do this every other day since the last update. Current phone is HTC EVO 4G
Dude I get the same thing it sometimes let's me get to the menu soon as I hit play it goes black and returns to the home screen I've recently reset my iPod and had the updates even the valentines one and still not working , let us know when you get a reply coz I am not wasting my time emailing them if their going to tell me me to start again lol
