New memory card says memory card full

Just purchased a new SanDisk SD card 2GB and when inserted into EasyShare C330 camera it says it is full. What gives?

    ive put a new transcend sd 4gb card into my kodak v570 and it comes up saying memory card full, what do i need to do?

    i have purchased c330 2 years ago, it is woring fine..... but now recetly i have found that it is not reading external sd card orther than internal memory, the same sd card i am for the past 2 years... can any body suggest the solution for it..............

This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card.
Try to format the memmory card using a card reader and the PC this should solve your problem if not you have to replace the memmory card.

Inserted 4G memory card...says memory card is full...when I try to format the card, get filesys error e00100.....
The C330 uses MMC and SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible and won't work. You need to go with cards 2GB and smaller.

2GB SD card is brand new but camera says it is full.
Some of the older cameras will not take the bigger cards. You can use the bigger card with your computer to store your photos.

its not the card! all cameras do not read all the same ds cards...even tgough they may all fit I recomend a sandisk card!

try doing a format with the camera. check your manual to see how to do this with your camera. Beware, formatting will erase anything on the card. i actually had the same problem with my camera, and this worked for me. Sometimes new flash cards are not compatible off the shelf--they need to be formatted. You should have at least flash cards to be sure card is not defective. Let me know if this helps!
