I spilt some water on the keboard. Now 2 of the characters do not work. Is there something I can do?

Immediately apply yellow mustard and let sit on your foot.

Trey taking it apart and drying it. Use cans of compressed air , if necessary. Put it out in the sun, all day, to dry. If this does not work,
something got fried. These procedures need to be done BEFORE turning it back on.

Try cleaning the keyboard with a clean, dry paintbrush just in case there is anything stuck under the keys. Once you have cleaned the keyboard try typing keys to see if it does the same thing. If the keys type as normal then you have resolved the problem.
If the keys still type other characters along with the letter then there is a strong possibility that the keyboard needs to be replaced.
This usually happens when something has been spilt on the keyboard causing it to type random characters or the characters directly above or below them.

Seeing as the keyboard is a laptop keyboard you can use a wireles/wired keyboard or you can use the on-screen keyboard if you can't get the keyboard to work.

You probably do not have the right keyboard map change to the right region USA is what it should be.

obviously, sysmtoms are showing that there is some internal short after water split.
do one thing, u can easily remove keyboard from upper side of laptop, remove it, clean it and keep it min 2 hrs in light of bulb, make serviceing in under observation of technician, still problem persiststhen send it to service centr and make proper servicing.

One of two things. First, when you turn on the power, do not have anything pressing against the joysticks. It will sometimes cause the problems you are describing. If that is not the case, I would assume you got something stuck under it or spilt something on it. Good luck.

I guess all you can do is try dry the water by tipping the laptop upside down (Keyboard face down) and also use a hairdryer or something hot to try and dry it. Dont overheat it!!!

That means that you turned on the numlock on the laptop keyboard, On an acer if im not mistaken you have to press one of the function keys to deactivate it. Look for the icon with NUM on it and press it. if that does not work you may have to press FN then that icon.

yaa bcoz you have made your Numlock On thats why keyboard gives you these characters. You can see a led 'on' on your keyboard near Num Lock.

To make it off press and hold Fn kye (left side bottom row of the keboard) and press Num Lock kye (Top row right side). It will make your Num Lock on/off.
