Fujitsu laptop! I need to have something in the Audacity program in order to Convert Audio file music into Audacity.I have tried to download audacity googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-1.2.6.exe which i cannot download it. Is there an other way or another program that does work? Thank you! SvB

    Perhaps you misunderstood.I have downloaded the Audacity.The problem is I need to Convert the audio file( into an Mp3 format. Non of it works so far.Perhaps an other solution?

    I have just checked the Audacity program and it requires 'Lame MP3 encoder' to convert files to .MP3 format.



    You can download and install Lame MP3 encoder from:

    http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/



    Here is the direct download link: http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/Lame_v3.98.3_f...



    After the download finishes, install the Lame encoder.



    When the Audacity program prompts for "lame_enc.dll", browse to C:\Program Files\Lame For Audacity> and select 'lame_enc.dll'

What is a invalid file format
This may indicate that the file extension is not recognizable.this may be a flac or orb file instead of the usual file formats associated with audio codecs these will need to converted into mp3 or wav etc. by using an audio convertor program...freeware can be found online.if your media plays only mp3 and you try playing different file extension you will get error.so you need to convert all your music into mp3.Itunes has a built in cd ripper to convert into most formats.

I am presuming you are not querying how to download audio drivers for sound cards. Those you would best download from the sound card manufacturer's site. A little freeware program called Speccy can identify your sound card. Then you Google the manufacturer's site and search there.

How can you copy audio from you tube to cd or i pod?
You cannot copy Audio from Youtube. But there is an alternative. First you need to install Youtube Downloader in order to download the videos or the audios from Youtube.

Next you will also need a FLV to MP3 converter in order to get the Audio which will be compatible for CD or iPod as files downloaded from Youtube will come in .flv extension which doesn't work on normal CD player or iPod.

I have a lot of music on tape cassettes
You will need three things.
1. Cassette player with a mini headphone jack
2. cable with male mini jack at each end. (usually can find at a dollar store.)
3. Audacity (Open Source audio program)

Hook up the cable to your cassette and to the line in on your sound card. Turn volume on cassette player to 3/4 or so.
Download and install Audacity. Press play on the cassette player, press the record button in Audacity. When done press stop, and under the File menu you can Export to an MP3. You can read the Audacity help menu for more options on copying and pasting to create a new file for each track, and for fading in and fading out to get a smoother start and finish to each track.

Audacity download

This can be achieved by changing the format of your music by downloading "switch sound" converter then change the format to mp3. I use audacity all the time It is a great free program.

The audio quality of my music is horrible
If you still have them on you're computer I would convert them to a format and bitrate more suited to the blackberry. I know it is a pain converting as it takes a while, but it is worth it as you can listen to the files in not bad quality( for a biz orientated device).
