First the AGE of any parts replaced has absolutely no bearing on the problem. Bad parts come straight out of the box. The words NEW and GOOD are not synonymous. If new and good meant the same thing, we would have no use for the word "warranty".

Anyway, the most likely cause of the symptoms you are describing would be a faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor. (Although many other things can also cause this.)

Engine dies

if it shuts off while driving down the road. and restarts after 10 minutes, its usually a bad crank sensor that does this. it messes up timing and shuts off fuel supply.

BMW 2003 745LI brought from USA check engine light os on due catalitic convertor panc 2 problem how to solve this without changing the part it is expensive

I had a similar problem, had it diagnoses and found out it was actually the thermostat not allowing the engine to reach normal operating temperature thus signaling the Cat to throw an emission code. It sounds far fetched but the diagnosis and fix was correct. I had the thermostat changes, fuel injection service, new spark plugs installed all for $350 and I have never seen that "Check Engine Light" again. Plus, my car drives like new with improved gas mileage.

Well did you say u replaced the engine? Well if thats the case you may have a clogged cat CONVERTOR. to start out, first we need to remove the bolts from the exhaust manafold to the down pipe.try to prop the pipe slightly away (about an inch) from the manafold.(WE ARE REMOVING THE CONVERTOR FROM THE ENGINE IN A SENSE) start the car (it will be loud, and take a short test drive. If the car no longer chuggs, replace the cat CONVERTOR.good luck

Car stopped while driving, but then I could restart it

You'll have to find out what's causing the check engine light. Take it to Autozone, have it scanned for free then get back and let me know what they say.

1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0, 2w drive engine just stops running

Scan the computer for fault codes. Check that fuel filter is not obstructed. (if old, just change it) Most common problem is the crank sensor but do not just start swapping parts: it can cost a ton of $ and not cure anything!!
