When I turn on my packard bell ixtreme 6052 nothing appears yet it does see computer but does not even go to bios and harddrive read light remains on and harddrive is constantly ticking like it's desperately trying to find something before eventually the hard drive gives up computer power light remains on and at that point we have to flick off switch as nothing happens all the while nothing shows up on screen.

This could be lots of things (bad HD, bad Mother board, bad RAM,etc...) first you need to narrow down the possible cause, open the computer, take out every thing that can be unplugged (I MEAN EVERYTHING) RAM, PCI cards, VIDEO cards, all storages HD, CD ROM, etc... just leave the CPU and power supply plugged in, than power up the computer and listen for BEEP's if you hear a series of BEEP's this means the CPU, power supply and mother board are GOOD, than (with power OFF each time) re-install the components you taken out (ONE at a time) to see which device causes the system crash... I've seen a modem card causing a system mall function once rediculous but true...

Open it up and look for the typical CR2032 3V battery located on the mother board. If it has one, then that's the CMOS backup battery.

Maybe it is not getting cool enough cause the cooling fan is not working. You need to provide more info about at which point of booting up, it gets shut down.

Packard bell ixtreme no signal during gaming

hi,
I had same problem with ixtreme M3720.
the problem was too much dust on graphic card cooler and main procesor cooler. clean up dust, change a thermal compond, and thats it.

PACKARD BELL iXtreme I5622UK DVD Driver problems

You need to UNINSTALL the drivers and not delete them if you had done so on the PC. If this wont help it is possible that the OS must be reinstalled after formatting of the drive and thereby the drivers can be installed.

My packard bell ixtreme 5830 wont turn on. the light stays orange instead of green can anyone help

if it beeps there is a memory problem inside if not turn it on so its orange turn it a round and flip the the red switch on the back of the power suppy, multiple times and then start turning off the computer, ive got that to work it could just something dumb with the power supply

kinda stupid answer but check the back make sure your moniter is plugged in.if it is it might be your motherboard ive had this problem with a compaq before it turned out to be the mother board something was broken inside it
