All the transferred power has gone off and the "charge" light on the front panel blinks. I can hear a click every second or so within the unit, as if the transfer relay is trying to close. The remote panel has no power to it.

This means the component inside the unit which is saddled with the distribution of power has failed. Due to the failure it is not passing power round as it is supposed to. This could have been caused likely by a power surge into the unit or improper connection inside the unit.
Usually these systems are made such that when these things happen only a little fuse gets spoilt such that the other main components dont get spoilt so all you have to do is locate that particular fuse which is burnt.
If you dont have the technical expertise it is best to refer to an expert to open up the unit and get the fuse replaced. And also sort out the faulty wires in the case of bypassing or bridging wires in the case of an improper connection.

Laptop wont start.

Remove the battery and unplug the power cord for 5 minutes, put in the either the battery or the powercord and power on.

if it doesn't power on, make sure the charging light is lit on the front of the laptop when the power adapter is inserted and plugged in properly.

light blinking when you power on means battery low / no power.

If the problem doesn't go away you need to contact acer for warranty service if you are outside warranty contact a local repairer.

I have a new violation 9053 and first time to charge the green light blinks for about 10 seconds and then goes off and thje battery is now dead it seems, no lights, no power

When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.

Pavilion dv 6500 dead ,the jack port lights up but nothing else

Laptops don't boot for the following reasons: 1) Bad Power Cord. 2) Bad DC Power Jack where the power cord plugs into the laptop. 3) Static Charge Buildup. 4) Bad Motherboard.

The above 4 reasons are when you press the power button and absolutely nothing happens. You hear no fans running, no disk drive running, no one time clicking sound on the CD Drive and No light for a second or two when the CD drives click. In the case of a motherboard issue sometimes you will hear beep sounds or see blinking lights. Those beep sounds and blinking lights tells the technician what is going on with your motherboard and why it will not boot.

So you have a power light which means your power cord and dc power jack is good. So lets see if you have a static charge buildup.

Remove the Power Cord and the Battery from the laptop, then Press and Hold the Power Button for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds put the power cord back into the laptop, but leave the battery out. Press the power button to see if it boots. If it does you had a Static Charge Buildup and it's ok to put your battery back in. If it does not you more than likely have an issue with your motherboard.

You particular mode probably has the Nvidia GPU Graphics Card in it and it's a well document known manufacturer's defect all over the internet. If you see lights blinking or hear beeps but nothing appears on the LCD Screen make sure you count the blinks and count the beeps. More than likely you have the Nvidia problem and you missed the recall and the extended warranty because HP got away without tell all their customers. The only way you would have known is if you just happened upon their website.

You'll need to get your Graphics Card Reflowed and that requires a complete disassembly of your laptop. Get a quote from your local repair shop then check out the guys at: http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com
They will repair it and ship it back by Fedex or UPS and their price will beat most quotes including the shipping.

My samsung tv won't turn on the power light just keeps blinking

If you get a clicking noise as well, it sounds like the capacitors have gone in the power pack. Contact Samsung Customer Support(you'll get their details on the Smasung web site). They repaired my set free of charge after 3 1/2 years within the week. An excellent service!
