go to settings and press zoom activate

Because new SIM cards working at lower power (1.8V) meanwhile Sanyo Katana is older model thus support old SIM cards (3.5V).

try 0000 as unlock code

The standard unlock code for my Katana is 0000. Once you unlock it you can change it to whatever 4 digit numbers you would like. Let me know if this works for you, please.

put in ##3282# and click advanced then msl is 726650 for sanyo 6650

No, because they use different technologies. The katana's are CDMA, and AT&T is GSM.

Help!!! I have had Sanyo Katana SCP6600B for about 16 months. My first problem with it arose the other day. The battery ran dry, so I attempted to recharge. After a couple of hours ,I attempted to restart the phone. It wouldn't re-activate. When I plug the phone into the re-charger, it comes on for about five minutes; ( I can call out, retrieve messages , check my contact list , etc.) , and then goes dead. I can only get it going again by unplugging the charger, and then re-connecting it....

So now I have a cell phone which only works when plugged into the mains, and then only temporarily! Not very practical...

Can anyone suggest what is the problem, and if it can be fixed?
