R4 wont load. Just says ERROR on the startup - Nintendo DS Lite Console

t could be that your ROM is corrupted. I would suggest that you stop using the R4 immediately and stop pirating games. The only way you can be guaranteed to have your games work is to buy them.

This sounds like a problem with the MicroSD card in the R4. Some brands have been known to be incompatible. Without knowing more information about the R4 and the SD card

A couple of years ago, I had three microSD cards fail, even reformatting failed. I believe it was a problem with the R4's at the time. Try reformatting the microSD card in a PC, download the latest kernel and load that on to the microSD card, if you can get it to format.

Failing that, buy a new SD card. SanDisk/Transcend and Kingston are the preferred and recommended types. Is this an R4 or R4-SDHC? Don't use an SDHC(4gb+) memory card in a R4, only in R4-SDHC.

Memory cards are cheap enough 1gb-2gb don't cost that much, if you have an R4-SDHC then try a 4gb

all u have 2 do is take the r4 card out, go to the options and change the date back about a year. that should work. this happened to me today and i fixed it by doin that. i hope it works for u to!

Are you download real programs for R4? Go to www.r4ds.com to download it,it will better because i download it at there too and it can play

First you need to make sure you have the current firmware for the R4 card loaded onto the micro-sd card. I know that some R4 cards only accept up to a 2gb memory card so check and make sure you are using the correct micro card with the R4. When you have downloaded the firmware for your card you need to make some folders. Label them games...movies... music... etc.. making a folder for each one. Put the Mp3 files in the correct folder. When you use your R4 you will see three icons at the startup screen go to the one labeled multi-media... Moonshell will run the movies/music... you are ready to go ... hope this helps

You will need to get the kernel from the R4 SDHC website, because it is actually a fake card, that R4 do not want people using.

i had this prob and sorted it by watchin the stap by stap videos on youtube. be very careful by how you extract and place the files, i made one simple mistake and ended up on the endless loadiing screen. noe thanks to youtube its sorted.
