How to famat my asus Eee pc 4g

Go to http://www.snapfiles.com/downloads/bartpe/dlbartpe.html, download BartPE and create a boot disk for your NTFS drive. I assume you have windows XP, Vista or 7. If not, you will need a windows 98 bootdisk which can be created on a floppy from windows 98. If you need directions to do that, let me know.

Start from the bootdisk and you will get an A:\ prompt.
At the A:\ prompt, type Format C:\ and hit enter. (make sure that there is a space between the Format and C:\

You will get a warning message that all data will be lost. IF this is what you want to do, go ahead and confirm the format.

If you found this information helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback,

Thank You,

Brian

Needs a reboot

Depends what you mean by Bootup disk. Windows 95/98 used to use these to get into diagnostic tools for windows xp the install cd is where all the advanced recovery stuff is. If you want a computer to bootup like it did with a windows 98 bootdisk you can go to bootdisk.com and get a copy. Hope this helped!

SPICELOUNGE UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

I have the same computer except it is the 2400 Dimension. If you have a win 98 bootdisk which is a lot smaller file and easier to use insert in a:/ startup with cdrom support when its done loading it goes to a:/. When thats done your cdrom drive has been changed to E:/ if you have your XP install disk put it in your cdrom. Ok beside where it says a:/ type in e:/ which changes it to e:/ drive when thats done type in setup and it should start your install there should be a choice to repair at some point click on that and it should repair. If by chance that don't work let me know and we will do something different. You can get a 98 bootdisk at http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm just follow instructions how to make the disk.
Let me know

Installation

You need to use floppy disks (called boot disks) to boot DOS with cd-rom drivers, because the win98 cd isn't bootable by default.

I suggest you to go to http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and grab the respective windows 98 boot disk.

You will need a functional computer to write the disk image into the floppy.

After that put the boot order in BIOS as floppy first.

Once you see DOS prompt A:\> just access your cd-rom drive like d: or e: and then type install
