While turning the steering wheel(right or left), the wheels don't seems to follow. It's like a "slide" in the steering. It happens for less than a second than the wheels get back on tracks by themselves. It's quite scary...

Look under hood and look at the steering gear box. Thats the thing at the end of the steering column. It has a fiber plate that takes the vibrating out of the steering column It may be about tore in half or hanging on by one bolt instead of two.

At 100kph the wheel will start to wiggle vigorously.the car has undergone wheel alignment and wheel balancing.what shall we do next?

If it starts shaking after 100kph then its either the power steering pump or the steering box is going bad. Do you hear wizzing noises when you turn the wheel right and left (similar to a turbo boost sound)? Have you recently notices problems with steering like being delayed?

The only other thing that would cause something like that would be if the tires are worn badly on places. If this was the problem, it would not really shake the wheel - but when the tires hit a bump or notch in the road it would allow them to go in that direction easier then usual. So it would seem like something was grabbing the wheel or changing the course while driving.

If you steering box is going bad, you will notice other things like a delay from when the wheels start to respond after you have turned your steering wheel in a certain direction. if your turning right and there seems to be a delay as to when your wheels begin to turn then you need to have the box checked.

After checking the box if that is not the problem, try adding power steering fluid and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't then have the power steering pump checked.

Recode steering angle sensor

For recode the steering angle sensor you must connect a diagnosis scantool to the data link connector of the car in order to access the ESP ECU (Electronic Control Unit), in other words programm again the steering angle sensor in the ESP ECU. Select the steering angle sensor programming (learning) menu, and follow the steps: put steering wheel in straight direction, then turn steering wheel to the left direction less 15 degrees, then to the right direction less 15 degrees, put steering wheel in straight direction again until the programming was done. Then the ESP light will turns OFF.

My 2003 Ford Windstar whines when turning the steering wheel.

The power steering pump has gone bad. Consider replacing it because if serviced it will still show this sign in a little while.

Good luck.

Turning left results in a low pitched squeak at steering wheel

Power steering Belt or pump pulley. Could be that turning left puts more stress on your system then turning right and that's why you only hear it while turning left.
