Quite often, when turning left, while the steering wheel is in motion, I hear a low pitched squeak or noise that I can slightly feel in the steering wheel. Acts like some bearing or sliding surface is dry or needs lubrication but it's right at the hub of the steering wheel so haven't taken anything apart. It's intermittent and just enough to get your attention.
Do you have adjustable tilt and or telescopic steering colum.. Try returning it to no tilt position and see if it continues. You failed to tell us what kind of car you drive many problems are model specific
Power steering Belt or pump pulley. Could be that turning left puts more stress on your system then turning right and that's why you only hear it while turning left.

Check your power steering fluid level, and system for leaks. May be a bad p/s pump as well. Hope this helps

There are no greases zerks or lube points on that model .You actually aren't moving anything while in this state. I have seen exhaust components cause this if there is any contact to chassis or rubber mounts missing. The engine vibration through the exhaust system can resonate noise.
