Doom 95 very well may not be compatible with windows 7 you should try the source port Zdoom it is meant for modern machines and allows for new features such as mouse aiming.

I have a game that run on window 95 version but i have window 7. what am i supposed to do?

What you can do is try right clicking the icon of the game then properties. Click COMPATIBILITY tab then check the box the says "RUN THIS PROGRAM IN COMPATIBILITY MODE" then choose windows 95. You may also check the box run in 640 x 480 screen resulotions or even lower if it does not work. Then click OK.

You can now try running the game by clicking the icon. If it does not work then I believe you cannot run that game anymore not until you have another PC that runs on windows 95 or if you are familiar with dual boot.

Purchased Doom II, Ultimate Doom and Final Doom, but switched to new computer with Windows 7. Now these programs don't work.

Hi,
The only thing you can try is the "Compatibility Mode" option in windows 7. Right click the executable for your game and choose properties. Go to compatibility tab and choose a lower version of Operating System (e.g. Windows XP SP2) that supports your game. Save the changes you made by clicking on OK and try the game again. If this won't work, there is no other way but to use another computer with a compatible OS or downgrade your OS to a lower version that works.
You might also want to check your game manufacturer website for any update or patch that you can use to make the game compatible for Windows 7.
Hope this helps.

The game is a old version for windows 98/95 trying to run on windows 7

Right click on the game icon or shortcut. When the menu opens, go down to properties and left click. A window will open, click the compatibility tab then click the check box "run this program in compatibility mode for:" Then click the drop down menu beneath the check box and click "windows 95 or 98" click apply. Should get you going.

I purchased a CD of "Hoyle Casino" when I had a windows 95 computer.I have enjoyed the CD ever since, except now I have a windows 7 computer which will not take my Hoyle casino CD. What can I do?

Windows 7 is way to new for the game, but you can try copying the files to a folder on your computer, right click on the install file and troubleshoot compatibility. From there you should be able to set it to run under windows 95 settings. If that does not work, then unfortunately you will not be able to use that game on your new computer.

Hope this helps.

Hello, my game earthworm1-2 dont work my computer say that this game incompatibiliteit is with the 64 bits version from windows i have an asus laptop 1/2 year old with windows 7 version wath can i do to...

Hi, phoogland!

Older products aren't compatible with newer OS. The best way you can play these games is probably by emulating a virtual PC. Try installing Windows 98 on a Windows Virtual PC.

Here's a link to a detailed manual: http://www.essjae.com/virtualization/WinVPC-InstallingWin98.pdf

If this didn't fix your issue please let me know. Hope this helped you!

Windows 7 will not read 95/98 version of scattergories wahat can I do

Wow, big OS problem here.

Windows 7 and Vista both have a serious problem playing games for the previous OS's (XP, ME, 2000, 98/95, 3.1). There are sometimes fixes that you can find on the web (download such and such driver or whatever.) but these only work about 15% of the time. Your best bet to get it to work is to find the .exe file that runs the game itself (right click on the shortcut and click "open file location"). When you find the .exe, right click on that and go to properties, then click the "compatability" tab. At this tab you can set the compatability settings to try and get the game to work. THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK. If it doesn't, then most likely the game is simply too old to work on an OS as recent as windows 7. At that point your best bet is to hunt for a more recent version of the game you want to play (one that is compatable with win7)

DOOM won't run in Vista ...what can I do also Duke, Hexen, etc.

Are you certain your DOOM game is compatible with your Vista Operating System? Vista comes in 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Software compatibility depends on the game being designed for the specific OS you have. If you're running 64 bit Vista, I'm guessing your game is designed for Windows XP or 32 bit Vista.

Ok, the PSP emulator is a program that emulates the work of PSP on your computer, and take a portion of your PC's CPU to emulate the PSP's Processor. Or you can say it's a program that runs your PSP games through a window. To Run your "Doom on PSP" I can paste some text from the readme.txt inside this file: http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/files/doompspv005plus.zip Release Notes for Doom-PSP 0.05 plus: To Install fw 1.0 and 2.0(with loader) 1. Create Doom dir under Games. 2. Copy save, wads, inst, config.ini, and timidity.cfg into doom folder. 3. copy eboot.pbp from fw10 into doom dir. 4. copy any main wads into doom/wads dir and pwads into doom/wads/pwads dir. 5. launch game, select wads and play! to set up controls press L+R+Start and follow instructions. fw 1.5 1. Create Doom dir under Games. 2. Create Doom% dir under Games. 2. Copy save, wads, inst, config.ini, and timidity.cfg into doom folder. 3. copy eboot.pbp from fw15/Doom into doom dir. 5. copy eboot.pbp from fw15/Doom% into doom% dir. 4. copy any main wads into doom/wads dir and pwads into doom/wads/pwads dir. 5. launch game, select wads and play! to set up controls press L+R+Start and follow instructions. Then give us feedback. Play nice with your PSP. Goodluck
