I am surprised that Windows 7 would need a specific driver for your mouse. I couldn't find your model number but here is a list of all Genius mouse drivers. Perhaps one will work for you.

click start control panel under harware and sound view devices and printers you should see your mouse right click select open download mouse software
once your usb mouse is connected windows 7 should automatically search for and update the drivers

click start right click on my computer select properties device manager control scroll to mice and pointing devices you might see a yellow question/exclamation mark? ! or a red Xthis means a driver will need to be updated right click select update driver

You have to install the software that came with the wireless mouse. I have several, and some will and others won't work without the software. That is 90% what it is.

You MUST disable digital driver signing to install ANY driver.software on any 64 bit system. you MUST press F8 at boot up to install the driver, & then EVERY time you boot up you MUST press F8 to disable driver signing to USE it too, every time....

if you do not have an iphone you should have little use for this program which is a notoriously bad piece of software in windows.

try using different USB port. if the it is unknown device. means the machine didn't recognized the device. you may have to install the device driver. (windows is a funny thing).

I have a hp laptop. My sis gave me a toshiba wireless optical mouse which I am unable to install as she lost the installation guide. Kindly help
