We have a Monte Carlo model 5DI52BSD. The light burnt out so we bought a replacement (halogen). However, the light now won't come on. We hear a clicking noise when we flip the switch, but that's it. Any idea why this might be?

100 watt halogen.

Sorry, but this isn't a solution. I am a caretaker at a house that has 13 fans with these controls. In a nutshell,30% of them stop working and do exactly what you are describing. I have never been given a satisfactory answer from monte carlo. The only thing that has helped is I now carry and extra remote with me that I know works since some of my fans are over 15 feet up and I have no ladder that high. I then change change the code to match the one of the fan that I need used. I'm sorry, but this is what I have been dealing with for 4 years. If you have only 1 fan this probably won't help at all.

I only see a Mini 20 in the Monte Carlo catalog & it doesn't come with a light. If it was bought at Lowes then you have to go there or call Monte Carlo @1-800-519-4092

You can buy a replacement bulbs at Home Depot its a Phillips T4 mini candelabra 75 watt halogen bulbs It's a small cylinder shaped bulbs

sounds like the light is blown this will affect the other lights change the burnt bulb it should fix it

sounds like one of two things, your bulbs are burnt out or your brake light switch is no good, the switch has 2 parts inside of it, one for ther brake lights and one for the 3rd brake light

check the halogen headlight bulbs and plug in connectors, rarely they both wipe out.... seems more like a headlight switch replacement is in the making, if you know how to test the circuitry with a test light see if you are getting power to the headlight halogen bulbs, these switches do have a reputation of burning out.
