Hello, i have a sony ericsson w980. I've downloaded and installed the sony ericson pc suite in order to transfer pictures and music but my laptop doesn't recognise the phone. When it is plugged in, the phone appears to be charging from the usb BUT the dialogue box of how to connect says "the Pc suite cannot find any phone connected to your computer". Have made sure: the phone is on! re-installed the pc suite, restarterd the computer, Any advice please?

In order to use your phone Sony Ericson P1i as the modem, you have to install the Sony Ericson PC suit in your laptop using the Sony Ericson CD. It works i used it, you can either start use by Connecting with cabe or Ad-hoc bloetooth pan
You have to reinstall W980 program. For the installation you need "PC Suite" program. You can easily download it from sonyericcson's web site. Do not forget to backup your datas before installation.
u should hav a proper mobile office service whch is called "mo" if this is proper then install cd software of sony ericsson in tht pc suite should be installed then make a new internet connection nd settings should be selected as manual selection nd also install sony ericsson pc suite now u an transfer!!!!!!!
