How To Interpret Or Read Nameplate On 3 Phase Motor?

The higher the voltage the lower the amperage, so advantage is its more cost effective to run it at highe voltages since power consumption is I squared x Resistance. The resistance will be the same but the lower the current the less it cost to run it.

Do I need an electrical adapter for my 2007 Gateway laptop, going from U.S. to Switzerland?

yes most likely your US charger will be 110/120v @ 60Hz and swiss mains is 230v @ 50Hz you can find us-european adaptors or buy a new charger for switzerland when you get there as long as you have the model number of the laptop

My andis T-outliner is makeing a loud noise

The problem you describe is most likely due to the fact that the machine you bought is designed to operate on 110v/60Hz electrical supply as used in North America. In fact the T-Outliner is only designed to operate on 110v/60Hz so even if you use a transformer you will only convert the voltage from 110v to 230v. You will not convert the frequency 'Hz' from 60Hz to 50Hz which is necessary with an electrical product with many moving parts such as a clipper to operate correctly on the European electrical supply which is 230v/50Hz........Check on ebay 'Voltage and Frequency Converter' about 65 pounds. The only solution

Covert 230V 50Hz to 230V 60Hz

To convert to 50Hz will be expensive as the Aircon needs alot of startup power. You could ask maker if 50Hz will be ok, usually motor will run slower so unit will be less efficient, alway check with maker. Or try supplier to see if they will exchange for what you ordered first.
