My Microsoft mouse keeps disconnecting, and it wont work. Iv tried everything to get it to work again, any ideas?

Try turning off your computer then remove the stick from the USB port that supports the wireless mouse (disconnect the mouse from the computer). Change the batteries in the mouse.
Reconnect the mouse to the computer and press the tiny button on bottom of the mouse to calibrate the connection (it usually says "connection" or "reset" near the button) and hold it in for about ten seconds or so.

Then turn the computer back on and see if this solves your problem.

If your mouse continues to disconnect, the range from the stick plugged into the computer to the area where you use the mouse may be too far - or there is other audio equipment or microwave ovens in the area that are interfering with your connection. Try moving the computer tower, changing usb ports to connect the mouse to or remove any unnecessary electrical equipment on or near your desk area.

If all of the above does not solve your problem, return your mouse to the store of purchase or exchange it for another. It may be defective.

Change rf

Try to reconnect your mouses.
turn your computer off. while he's is on press the 'connect' button on the wireless receiver then press the 'connect' button on the mouse - give it time to connect. Test it.
Now power off his computer and turn on yours - do the same, 'connect' button on receiver, 'connect' button on mouse, wait, test.
Turn on his computer and see if one mouse will interfere with the other.
Connecting the mouses like this should assign them a unique/security identity that has the receiver acknowleging only the one mouse. But, should you bump the receivers 'connect' button while the other person is using their mouse, it is likely to change.

NOTE:: You may need to turn off the other mouse as you connect one - if there's no off switch, pull the batteries.
