Some manufacturers wont release their codes. Some universal remotes do have a general code that will either scan for the right one or allow you to check all of them one by one. Though I have a Sylvania which cannot be programmed by universal remotes. You might find the specific TV remote on Ebay. That's what I had to do after my dog ate my remote. Cost me $15.
When are you people going to learn. The only way you will get it to work is to find the same remote that come with the tv, That is what happens when you buy unknown brand (Electronics) Not evan a good universal remote will work on them, Stick to a known brand.Like jvc, sony, toshiba,lg,panasonic. Then you won,t have that problem. If the dog ate your remote,Because you for got to (Feed) it.
Having browsed the user manual I wonder if you plugged in the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System while the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv was powered down via the optical cable .
Then powered up the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System first and then powered up the Polaroid FLM-2632 tv
Maybe the Polaroid FLM-2632 TV has to detect that the Sony BDV T57 Home Theatre System is connected and powered up when the Polaroid FLM-2632 powers up. To activate its digital audio out ????
The note part about only being available only under HDTV (cable/air) mode. Might be the cause of your hassle also ?
