My anti vireus not open on the desktop - Norton Internet Security 2010 Antivirus + Utilities

You have some viruses and malware.

Start your PC and press F8 several times until the boot menu comes up. Then select "Safe Mode with Networking". Now get some or ALL of the FREE programs below.

Download, Install and Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Make sure to select ALL of the "threat categories" when you install or configure Avira...

You should be in pretty good shape if you run and install all of these programs.

Antivirus:Some anti-virus softwares do block or disable downloads.Try disabling your anti-virus before the download and enable it afterwards.

Compatibility:Make sure the program downloads are compatible with your Operating System.

Originaility:-Make sure the downloads are from a trusted source,probably the manufacturers, for gunuine downloads.

if your haveing pop vireuse wich is just spam you will need delet your account out and reset you a new account that shake the pop off then get norton thats the best one i no that take all cookies off computer.

There will be a conflict when you installed more than one anti-virus software. That the reason why it slow your computer.
You need to picked one of them then re-install the other software.

you have a serious virus problem, get a strong anti virus and scan your whole system, kapersky or avast Anti virus are suggested....

Start the computer in safe mode to download/install/run any anti-virus applications and make repairs. Your DVD drive has a tiny hole in the front just under the disk drawer. It will accept a straightened paper clip. With the computer off,, straighten and insert the paper clip into the hole and you can force the drawer open to remove the disk.

You most probably have a corrupted registry. I would save all my important stuff and do a reload..If you need more help let me know,,, I will help gide you through a reload if you want me to. It is really easy..Good luck,,,Darren
